Over 30 years of craftsmanship in a brand founded in 2022
Parquet Lumar was officially established in 2022 with the aim of bringing together, under a new identity, the experience of professionals who have been working with wood flooring for more than three decades.
The creation of the brand marks the beginning of a new chapter, but not a fresh start from scratch. Behind every installation, repair and restoration lies knowledge gained through years of hands-on experience: understanding how wood behaves, how it responds to changes in humidity and temperature, how a surface should be prepared, and what treatment a floor needs to restore its stability and beauty.
Our approach combines traditional craftsmanship with modern tools, contemporary materials and solutions tailored to the needs of today's homes. We remain committed to traditional techniques while recognising the importance of evolving, adopting new installation systems and offering alternatives such as floating wood floors, laminate flooring, vinyl flooring and eco-friendly varnishes.
For us, attention to detail is not just a marketing slogan. It is a fundamental part of how we carry out every job. It means checking the subfloor before installation, carefully considering the direction of the planks, allowing for the necessary expansion gaps, ensuring proper transitions around doors and walls, and taking the time to perfect the finishing touches that define the floor's final appearance.
It also means listening to our customers before recommending a solution. Not every home needs the same type of flooring, and not every damaged floor needs to be replaced. In many cases, an old parquet floor can be repaired, sanded and refinished to restore its appearance and extend its lifespan. For other projects, a more suitable option may be a durable, easy-to-maintain material designed to withstand moisture in areas where it is present.
That is why we offer personalised, in-home consultations. We do not have a retail shop or physical showroom. Instead, we visit homes and commercial premises to assess the space, take measurements, inspect the condition of the existing surface and understand the results each customer hopes to achieve.
These visits allow us to prepare proposals that reflect the specific requirements of each project and avoid one-size-fits-all recommendations. We consider factors such as how the room will be used, foot traffic, humidity levels, maintenance requirements, the presence of children or pets, and the overall style of the property.
Our commitment is to deliver work built to last, maintain clear communication throughout the entire process, and treat every home with the care it deserves. We work with both private homeowners and renovation projects, adapting to the specific needs and timelines of each job.
